Hi there,
My m4a files can be played without any problems in Rekordbox. However, when I use my Cdj850 it gives the alarm 'Unsupported File format'. I attached a screenshot with specifics of one the examples, perhaps I'm missing something obvious?
It seems to be the same problem as mentioned in this case: https://forums.pioneerdj.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/360012104106-M4A-file-format-Not-Supported?input_string=M4a%20files%20not%20supported%20by%20Cdj850
Any chance you see what I'm doing wrong?

Hi Marek, thanks! My files seem to be ALAC. Any tips on how to bulk-transfer tracks from ALAC to AIFF? Much appreciated!
Yup - you will need to convert the files to a format that is supported. I never did this conversion so I can't recommend any converter that would support bulk conversion - sorry for that :(
iTunes used to be able to convert to aiff but as itunes are gone, you are out of luck I think. I did a quick googling and found something called Videosolo converter or Vondershare Uniconverter but I have no experience with either of these two.
Another option might converting to wav or aac rather than to aiff - the biterate of m4a is not that high so there is no real benefit in converting it to aiff and this conversion might be much easier.
