I have had the RX3 completely freeze on me twice at gigs, all audio stops and when powering off the unit using the power button, nothing happens. The only solution is to pull out the power cable completely which can't be healthy for the unit or the connected drives
I have noticed that in both instances, the waveform of the loaded playing track is very blotchy. What I mean by this is normally the waveform of a track sits inside the white and red beat markers on the screen but on each instance of the RX3 freezing, the waveform of the track looks like it's distorted/peaking. The actual waveform spikes above the red and white beat markers and looks really strange
I have tested tracks it has done this to on a different USB and using link export and it's fine so I'm ruling out an issue with the track itself. Even once the RX3 has been turned off and on again, the same track will appear and play normally from the original source
I am wondering if the RX3 isn't properly loading tracks sometimes and this is causing the crash? I have tried to replicate this at home on video but have been unable to capture it again so far
This seems to happen when the RX3 is well into a long set (2 hours or more). It seems to completely slow down and can take a good 90 seconds to load any playlists once you press the browse or playlists button. It brings up the 'wait' circle and you can't do anything in that time.
I have also noticed that once this happens, if you try and filter a playlist by BPM or Key for example, the unit won't do it. Instead, it filters by a column # and it numbers tracks. I have no idea what this is or why it does it. Only happens once the unit has been working for a few hours and starts to run very slow
For reference, I use a Samsung T5 500gb drive with my collection exported from Rekordbox 6.6.1. I also use two SanDisk Extreme Pro 64gb sticks with a number of playlists exported from 6.6.1 also. RX3 is running firmware 1.00

I managed to capture the waveform issue on video. On this occasion, the RX3 didn't crash but it has done live at a gig a couple of times when this happens. Two minutes in to the video you can actually see the waveform override deck 1 somehow

How long did you use the XDJ-RX3 before the phenomenon occurred during video shooting?
Does it always occur in the songs used in the video?

The RX3 was on for about 40 minutes before the waveform appeared all over the place on the videos.
It seems to happen to random songs that get loaded to a deck. In the video, tracks were loaded from the DJ City record pool but I've noticed it can happen to any track randomly. In fact, at a gig a few days ago, deck two was loading about 6/7 tracks in a row like this until it loaded another normally so I could mix
Once the unit has been powered off and turned back on again, the tracks in the video can be re loaded and they display and play normally

By the way, is the USB format FAT32?

I had this happen to me last night its was embarrassing. As described above the first sign of trouble was glitching on the waveforms, then one track was completely blank so wouldn't load. Then about 5 mins later the whole until just went off without warning, the record light was blinking and the unit would not turn back on. I had to remove the plug to power the unti off and then reconnect it and reboot. It was about 3 hours in to a 4 hour set the place was jumping and then bang no music! Now very dubious about using it, I have cdj 3000s and a V10 I bought the unit to avoid lugging my club set up around but I can't risk having it switch off mid set. This needs fixing ASAP I play weekly.
