You can do this - enable the Ableton Link (which does NOT disable the pitch sliders in your controller!), use Link to MIDI on an iOS device, and connect that as the host into your DJS-1000 for sync.
Hello,
I'm using the following Pioneer gear :
-XDJ-XZ Controller
-DDJ-XP2 Controller
-DJS-1000 Sampler
-RB-DMX1 Module
-Tidal Hifi Plus Subscription
-Beatport Subscription
-RekordBox Creative Subscription
What I wanna use :
-The 4 decks of my 4 decks controller (!)
-The pads of my DDJ-XP2, including customization
-The beatsync between DJS-1000 sampler and XDJ-XZ Controller
-Stream my music through Tidal & Beatport
No mather how the setup is made, there is always a problem.
And that's really frustrating, especially with only Pioneer supported hardware/software.
I tried 3 different setups :
Problems :
-Syncing between is DJS1000 and RekordBox is impossible over Pro DJ Link
-There is no function to autosync the DJS-1000 based on the input signal
Pro :
-BeatSync works (PRO DJ Link)
Problems :
-I have no access to Tidal & Beatport
-The decks 3 & 4 are not usable with Rekorbox
-My DDJ-XP2 is not working anymore
-I cannot control lighting through RB-DMX1
Pro :
-BeatSync works (PRO DJ Link)
Problems :
-I have no access to Tidal & Beatport
-The decks 3 & 4 are not usable with Rekorbox
-My DDJ-XP2 is not working anymore
-I cannot control lighting through RB-DMX1
This is so annoying. I already made a thread here and had no response from Pioneer : https://forums.pioneerdj.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/4668774338457-Beat-Sync-in-Performance-mode-with-ProDJ-Link-USB
I tried also to download the PRO DJ Link Bridge.
Everything is detected like it should and syncs correctly.
But as soon I go in Performance mode, the XDJ-XZ disconnects from Pro DJ Link. I tried also the Ableton Link solution : not bad at all, but comes with other problems : I have to use Ableton Live in combination with Rekordbox and this disables the Tempo sliders of my XZ... come on!
Yes I know : BeatSync is not relevant for most DJ's, I don't use it too. (only the BPM Sync). The reason I want it absolutely is that I mapped MIDI controls of the DJS-1000 to play patterns on my laser system.
This comes with other typical Pioneer compatibility issues : the DDJ-XP2 is not recognized by the XDJ-XZ. (you need a CDJ-2000 at least).
And even if it worked, there would be no possibility to customize the pads, which makes it ... useless.
What could possibly fix this :
-Enable BeatSync over ProDJLink in Performance mode (I'm not the only one asking for that!)
-Add a MIDI out from RekordBox that can be used by any MIDI device. Serato and others have this for years now...
I was considering a set of CDJ-3000's with a DJM-V10, but I don't know if they can stream Tidal without any computer connection. (?)
And if they would... it means I will not be able to control my lights anymore.
I searched almost for every solution, read all the details of the documentation, studied how PRO DJ Link works, tried a lot of 3rd party solutions and I could only conclude that this is just impossible so far.
It's only firmware/software issue so I hope there will ever be an update. (but I've read people asking for that ... 5 years ago and still no solution...)
Any advice, Pioneer, pease?

Any update, Pioneer ?
Same Problem, Export Mode works, Performance Mode doesn't with Ethernet
There is no Pro DJ Link with performance mode.
