Is XDJ XZ crossfader suitable for scratching?

Hello,

I recently bought XDJ XZ and connected my turntables to channels 3 and 4. I tried to do some scratching and the crossfader feels OK for that purpose, the curve is sharp enough (however, I would reduce the lag a little bit), but I couldn't find any information about the manufacturer and the type of the crossfader, so could anyone help me to answer these questions:
1) What is the type of crossfader (capacitive, magnetic, optical, conductive or carbon)?
2) Will it survive regular scratching?
3) Are there any mods that can be applied to XDJ XZ (Innofader, Magvel)? If so, does anybody have a guide for the crossfader replacement with the crossfaders mentioned from Innofader or Magvel?
4) Will a crossfader replacement void the warranty?

Thanks!

Absolutely. I've just sold my XDJ-RX which i had for over 5 years. I scratch a lot and it's held up great and shows no sign of wear or tear. I'd be very surprised if the XZ fader wasn't up to the job too. I'd suggest going into the menu and setting the crossfader curve to 'cut' which looks a little like this /-\ as that'll be a sharper curve for scratching, that's what i use myself.

I hope that helps :-)

Thanks for your feedback, Ryan! I ended up having one setup (a record player + battle mixer) for scratching and another one (another record player + XDJ-XZ) for mixing. Though it's nice to know that XZ's crossfader will probably survive intense clicking :)
