DJM-S11 Toggle Channel To Apply Touch Effects

Tried to search forum but didn't find. Please excuse if already discussed.

On the DJM-S11, wouldn't it be good if the channel on which the touch effects is applied would apply to only one channel at a time? Therefore the desire would be that when you choose touch effects to apply to Ch2 for instance, then Ch1 automatically toggles off and vise-versa. 

Perhaps I'm not being creative enough, but it seems to make more sense to apply a touch effect to one channel at a time.  Or at least an option for the behavior, as surely you can get creative applying touch effect to both at once.

Does this make sense to anyone else?
