Played tracks going green on my X DJ-RX

So i realise that played tracks from a playlist go green. Im having a problem with fresh playlists. I want to be able to load up a track, check my memory cue on the drop to see if its the track I thought and see if it will go well next in the set. But if I then decide its not the one I want. It will be green still even though I haven't actually played it in my set. I realise I can press menu and select play state as unplayed. But which ever button I press to try and trigger the unplayed play state. The track still stays green. Ive tried pressing every button I think.

I also wondered. After you help me work this feature. Its a bit long winded to have to do that to every track I check out and load to player but decide not to play yet. Would there be a way to only make a track turn green after it has been played through the output, not just the headphones ? Or maybe , only turn green after being in play mode for 5,10,20 or 30 seconds ?
