Seems as if you're not export your music correctly. Check out this video tutorial on how to do it properly.
Be sure to format your drive again before doing so.
Hi, sorry for this post. I looked all over the web and tried multiple things but still don't think I'm getting the full use out of Rekordbox.
I'm just using the XDJ-RX (no laptop). I'm on firmware update 2.20 which is the latest.
I've tried 3 brands USB's all formatted for "MS-DOS (Fat)" using using Mac 10.11.6 .... 1 was 128gb, 1 was 32gb and 1 was 8gb.
When I plug in the USB's I get the message "Rekordbox Database Not Found" on the screen and when searching for tracks/music on the in Rekordbox all I get is what you see in the pictures below.
I also have to play the track in real time for the waveform to display. I imagine once I get Rekordbox working properly this process will be faster? In a demo I saw online it appeared the XDJ-RX you could search via genre, bpm ect. and you could see a larger waveform for both channels on the screen.
Do I need to install anything on the USB's like firmware, software?
Do you recommend or prefer a laptop connected to the unit? I don't really have the room yet for a laptop so I'm trying to avoid it.
Thank you! Jesse

Please format your Stick at the MAC to exFat. Test with the 8 GB first. I use a 64 GB and it is working well !
Go to RB --> create a Playlist --> open Sync Window --> select the Playlist at checkbox --> click " Sync"
you can see the "export to USB device" in the lower / left status Bar.
