DDJRB or Rekordbox Latency issue. Video inside. Going to send back!

Slow scratching or jogwheel pullback results in garbled/distorted audio. Huge latency problems. Brand new deck just shipped today if anyone has any answers please let me know. Have tried all buffer settings as well as default really no change. Using a 15" Mid 2014 MacBook Pro w/16 gigs ram with Yosemite. May ship unit back. Looking to your Video this sounds pretty normal to me. What is your expectation? When turning the jogwheel backwards that slow the sounds is moving back slow. That doesn't Sound different as in your Video.

The buffer size / latency has mainly to do with how fast the Sound is reacting on the movement of the Wheel. If there is a delay or not.

Not sure what others think, but for me this is normal and would be the same with any other gear.

In Addition what Format your Music is on? MP3 or other? The Frame rate of the Music would be interesting too. Just to make sure you are not using a compressed file Format of the Music which potentially sounds not so good when played that slow.

@Steven

Your video sounds perfectly find. That is the sound of slow moving vinyl. It would sound the same on CDJs, or even a real record.

It difficult to hear the fine details in your recording since its on a phone but make sure you are using 320kpbs MP3s or WAV files.

I use between a 160 sample (3.6s) most of the time on my 2011 Macbook Pro. To me any lower latency is undistinguishable from real time, so I leave it at 160samples. There is no issue with your DDJ-RB or Rekordbox software.

Hope that helps

I disagree I have the Pioneer S9 and it does not sound like that with slow record movement. The USB buffer settings are very glitchy the higher I went the more of a delay I had compared to my real time movement audio was seconds behind what I was doing this def is not the case with Serato. As for my files they are all from paid MP3 pools.

As said before. From your Video it is hard to hear what your Problem is. If your MP3 's are from paid pools it would be still interesting which Frame rate they are using. Any Information to that?

Thanks

It's not very hard to hear put on some earbuds and listen when I move the jogwheel backwards. Has nothing to do with the files frame rate? I have tested other audio files and it's no different even iTunes files. It's been shipped back already when I get the SB2 unit I will test the latency as well.
