USB 3.0 not recognized in Rekordbox and XDJ-RX

So I have been using a Sandisk Ultra 3.0 64gb USB on every Pioneer platform, (including my RX stand alone model) that takes USB's since early 2015. I get a Lexar 128gb Jumpdrive for Xmas (thanks Courtney) load a handful of playlist on it from Rekordbox, works like a charm. Amazing! However 6 days after using it I tried to load more tracks/analyzed playlists to it and Rekordbox won't even recognize it? AND my RX won't recognize it now either even with the already previous established playlist?! What's up with that?

The 128gb literally wasn't touched since playing some tracks 6 days prior till the moment I tried to add more to it?

Has ANYONE ever encountered this issue? A 128gb USB isn't peanuts, hate to now only have something to load up with movies :(

Im not using that usb, but I am also having the same problem. My analysed tracks aren't being recognised by my XDJ RX and its so disappointing cause ive tried almost everything.

As always, my first recommendation is to format the drive, give it a new, unique, name and export everything to it again.

Lexar USB drives aren't exactly known to be "high quality" or "high performance" units.

Did anyone find a solution ? I'm having the same problem : I bought a new lexar 3.0 64gb, exported some music on it from rekordbox, used it on the RX, everything working fine. Later during the day, the rx couldn't find the usb so I connected to the computer which ask to format (I did using "exfat") and so it was working well on the computer but still nothing on the rx...
Any idea guys ? Any information could be useful as I am not very good with computers :)

Thanks

@aurnaud > Unfortunately exfat is not recognized by the XDJ-RX; you need to select FAT (aka FAT32) or HFS+ (aka Mac OS Extended).

Ugh... WD Passport drives are probably the single most problematic hard drive I've ever used with Pioneer DJ products.

What is the file system on that 1TB drive?

I have absolutely no idea , music yes hard drives no clue , can you give me a good recommendation for a mid priced hard drive that does actually work with rekordbox as I don't want to spend another £85 to find out the hard way , also is it because it's usb3.0 or what as I'd like to avoid that pitfall too
Thanks in advance jason

Did you try with a smaller usb stick ? I bought a sandisk 3.0 16gb  and now this is working without any problem. that could help until you find a solution with a bigger hard drive.

Hi,

I am also following this thread. I recently purchased the 4TB WD Passport and it will not recognize at all. My PNY drive reads, my Sandisk Cruzer reads, but the external won't.

Any updates about this? I will be in contact with a friend who is also a computer tech, so hopefully I can help and give some helpful feedback once I speak with him.

Thanks in advance.
