Using USB device as plug-and-play portable library with Rekordbox DJ

My friend and I are starting to use Rekordbox to DJ off our computers (with a DDJ-SB2), and we're often going to each other's place to DJ. My question is: is there a way that we can use a USB drive as a portable library for use with Rekordbox performance mode (like I could with another DJ software)? I am aware that I could create a master database on my USB drive, but using that on my friend's computer would mean going into settings and selecting the database, thereby stopping the music and restricting access to his music, correct? Is there a simple plug-and-play option similar to the functionality of an Export device in a CDJ/XDJ? If not, do you have any sort of timeline for when such functionality might be possible? I've seen multiple posts from your team dating back to last Summer saying your engineering team is working on it, so I hope they're almost done.
