SeguirAbout the "Takeover" feature
While @Pulse explained Pioneers perspective on the takeover function in the following post "https://forums.pioneerdj.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/203079409--SOLVED-TAKEOVER-not-work-in-Serato-DJ" its apparent as the OP suggests that the logic is ass backwards.
I also find it to be extremely useless in my DJ workflow. Whats worse about the problem is that no one seems to care.
From my experience with other DJ software, the takeover is most useful when Sync is enabled and wherever the pitch slider needs to be to match the opposing deck is set by Sync. Then, moving the hardware slider engages and takes-over movement of the pitch once the hardware position matches the software position. This way you don't run out of slider travel distance when trying to alter the pitch of subsequent tracks which is currently a real problem in SeratoDJ. I really don't understand how Serato and Pioneer could really have signed off on the way it is now.
