Ddj sx 2 red edition jog wheel problem

Ok so i have a ddj sx 2 that i use with serato dj. The jog wheel on the right is unstable alot of the time. Too often. I was using a friiends sx 2 lastnight and was impressed on how stable and responsive his jogs were. Bothe of them were flawless. 

I am running mac os before sierra. 16 gig ram. i5 processor. Sx is nov 30 2015 firmware. 

My friend was using a newr mac. 

Any tips would be nice
