11) Any other notes regarding your setup only: cdj-1000s-djm 250 mk2- rekord box dj and dvs pack.
12) Provide as much detail of the issue here:

I recently got the new djm 250 mk2 mixer with the hope of controlling some cdj 1000s, (one is an MK3) in rekordbox. I am really tired of burning CDs. I got the dj and the dvs license to work, got the control signal going to rekordbox, calibrated the dvs, and it does play the tracks in rekordbox dj. Except, after I load a track and press play, it starts the track a few seconds before the actual start of the track. I watch the wave form scroll to where the track starts and it then continues playing. If I hit the cue button on the cdj 1000 it will first pause the track, then if I hit it again it will move the track back to before the track starts (where it started originally). My work around has been to hit play, let it get to the start of the track then hit pause, then jog the track to where the it should start, then hit the cue button. Then if I play the track and hit the cue button twice (the first time just pauses the track) it will go back to where I set the cue manually. Well, sort of, it gets close, I can adjust where i set the manual cue to compensate for about an 1/8 of an inch on the waveform where it moves ahead.

I don't know how many people are trying to use the djm 250 mk2 and dvs in general to breathe new life into older cdjs, but I was hoping it would work a little bit better. I can compensate for a little lag, but it would be nice if it started at the beginning of the track when I pressed play.

Anyone have ideas on this?

That's our recommendation and it's how DVS systems work as the initial lead-in of the "timecode" is to accommodate for the very beginning of the track, so you'll need to compensate for this by doing exactly what you're doing; play, play/pause, cue. And, of course, as you hit play again, there is a mild lag as the software has to figure out what's happening in terms of the audio starting, in which direction, and at what speed.

You could use RELative mode, but that won't help you jump back to a cue point or hot cues the way ABSolute mode does.

Additional info:

I am using Absolute mode and the decks are set to vinyl mode.

The additional time added to the beginning of the track is 1 revolution of the digital turntable in deck section of rekordbox and aprox. 1 revolution on the display of the turntable on the cjd jog wheel.
