Rekordbox DJ with HDMI

Hi - I've got RekordboxDJ with the Video upgrade working on my Macbook Air playing video via an adaptor that has VGA and HDMI on it.

VGA works great and plays the video through the projector at the club while I've got RekordboxDJ working on my laptop, but with HDMI it just shows what's on my laptops screen rather than the videos of my two channels I'm wanting to output.

I've tried to look for info in the manual but can't seem to see how to set this up with my laptop and HDMI and VGA - thankfully VGA works great but I'd love to be able to use HDMI in the other room in the club I play as it has TV screens on the wall.

That's an issue with your display preferences; chances are that adaptor may not have a proper output config.

hi, could you tell me what type of macbook air do you use? and what software el capitan or sierra?

for hdmi maybe you have switch on function - clone the screens?

I'm not quite sure how/why but seems to be working now with HDMI - I think maybe there was a connection issue

I also want to use Video function and is why i was asking you about your software and hardware on your macbook air.. could you tell me how it works? Do you have some problem during playing video clips, bugs etc.?

@Maciej > If you've connected a second output display, the OS will detect it and allow you to configure the displays as either a mirroring (same thing on both outputs) or an extended desktop (different content on each output). Typically the latter is what you would use to have rekordbox on your primary display and the video output on the second display.

OK:) thank you for replies, but my question is not how to connect it (I know how to do it an d how to configure it), but how it works on MacBook Air because on my macbook pro i used use rekordbox video several months ago and it didn't work proper. I know that generally macbook air is weakness than macbook pro and i wonder if Jane dalton had some problem with this function during playing sets with video function. I really want to know what kind of OSx Jane is using and what parameters him macbook air is.

Yeah, it doesn't have a powerful GPU but it also depends on your core specs as well.

I bought subscription and started to testing on EL capitan, but again many problems appear, I update to Sierra, but the problem didn't disappear...
