I recently purchased the DJM-450 and needed to migrate my library from Serato to Rekordbox. I have about 63k MP3 files total. I didn't think this was a lot in comparison to others I know. I used Rekordbox Buddy to extract the library structure and cue points from Serato. It took about 64 hrs to import to 50k files from the rekordbox.xml into the DB. Then another 41hrs to complete the file analysis.
Is this normal for number of files? I haven't had the chance to really use the application b/c it took a decent amount time to load all the music.
Yep, that's about right for over 50,000 files. The import length is a bit long because of the massive amount of data generated by rekordbuddy for each track's data from Serato DJ, but the analysis is actually pretty good for that many tracks. I take it you have an 8-core processor? ;)
