@Tom > Are you using the Sync Manager at all?
Hey, all,
After many years with Serato using CDs and vinyl, I am a recent convert to a pure Pioneer set-up using rekordbox and MacBook Pro. I must say, I am liking it so far ;) but this biggest drawback is the iTunes integration. I thought it the most convenient way to import my library into rekordbox, but sometimes the manual changes I make to a track's tag, key and star rating within rekordbox disappear when I reopen the application. (Fortunately, my hot cues remain intact.) The other posts I have read here suggest a bug with album vs. track ratings within iTunes, but I don't use iTunes for keys or stars or anything, so I am both baffled and frustrated. I can do a "select all" and reload tags, but this takes times with 2,000+ tracks, but the key information and star ratings are still missing.
I am half tempted to start again and manually import tracks directly into rekordbox and ditch iTunes altogether so as to ensure the integrity of the information. This will take a great deal of time, however, so I wonder if there was a fix or work-around.
Barring that, how do I tell rekordbox NOT to import or interact in any way my iTunes library? Simply give it an incorrect file path to my library? I feel this would be key to any solution as I move ahead.
My thanks in advance,
Major Tom

My set up:
rekordbox 4.3.1
Mac OS 10.10.5 Yosemite
iTunes 12.6.1.27

@Tom > Are you using the Sync Manager at all?
Sorry for the delay, but this Pioneer forum software has a lot to be desired.
Thanks for your response. I have only used Sync Manager to move tracks to USB sticks without a problem; however, I have deselected "Synchronize iTunes Playlists" and this seems to have done the trick. Star ratings, tags and keys now seem to survive from session to session. Whether this is the real, correct answer to the problem remains a mystery, but I am content for the moment, until the next problem comes along!
Thanks again!
