Hi I'm a new user and was wondering if it is possible to modify the track add date in the rekordbox software.
Long story short I'm finally moving over from CD's and I'm concerned because I'm about to import my entire digital collection into rekordbox and I don't want the entire collection to show as all being added on the same day. I want to change the date to the date the track was actually purchased so I can sort through tracks that way . Is that possible?
Sorry for the dumb question but I'm a total newbie with this program :-)
@Kevin > As @Marek says, one option is to edit the data in XML (which can be a bit of a mess), but the other option is to use the Release Date field. This is different than the "year" field.

I think you could do that by exporting the library to XML, editing the date added for tracks you want in the xml using a text editor and then import the updated tracks from xml back to the rekordbox.
Haven't tried but the xml contains the date added information so it should be editable there (unless RB overwrites the date at the time of reimporting the track - just give it a try)..
