Rekordbox Video - Needs a lot of work..

Here's my story - I'm a longstanding user of Virtual DJ, but just bought an XDJ-RX2 so was looking to move over to Rekordbox.  I am primarily a video DJ so the video function is very important to me.  I actually find Rekordbox in Performance mode very cluttered and not particularly user friendly compared to Virtual DJ but that's another side.

My thoughts on Rekordbox Video:

Firstly the quality.  It is poor compared with other software.  It often stutters and is generally not smooth at all.  I know there are 3 settings for quality, but it is not good:

High - Video freezes instatly

Medium - Average video quality but video sometimes stutters and isn't smooth

Low - Poor video quality, still stutters sometimes

I have a fairly high end MAcBook pro with 16GB of RAM and other software (Serato, VDJ) handles video perfectly.

Next issue - aspect ratio.

Rekordbox does not seem to display the aspect ration properly.  If you select 'low' quality, it will stretch 4:3 video if that's what you want, but the other settings still don't display it in its correct ratio

Next issue - File Types

I have spent a long time purchasing videos over the years and are in VOB format. Virtual DJ plays them fine.  I am now having to reencode every video (about 10000 of them) in order for Rekorbox to play them as it will only play MP4.  This is an absolute pain and obviously means that the quality of each will diminish with a reencode.

How you can justify charging $149 for an addon that is so weak compared to others on the market is beyond me.

Now don't get me wrong, the support so far on here with the other issues I've had has been great - PULSE you have been so professional and speedy with your replies.  I just feel that as a piece of software, the engineers need to take a good look at the product they are charging for and take a leaf out of Virtual DJs book as they have it spot on.
