I am using my xdj-r1 connected to rekordbox dj, but the mixer mode is xdj-r1. Unfortunately I HAVE to use it this way if I want to use my PC or else I wont be able to use my headphones to cue. The problem is that in this mode, even though I'm using the auto loop and beat effects built into the hardware, I cannot see what intervals the beat knob and auto loop knob changes (and is set as before I turn them on). All it says is "Midi control Deck A." I would use it as a midi controller in PC mode, but my audio interface doesn't have a separate input for the headphone jack. Is this a bug or a lack of a feature in the xdj-r1 mixing mode?

There is no need for the display on the R1 to show the timing of the FX or looping, as the knobs on the R1 affect the timing parameters within the software:
Check that your firmware and drivers are up-to-date.

I can't do that method because every time I try to set rekordbox to the pioneer ASIO it says "error while opening." I even made a post about that issue:
I have updated the firmware to the current version and tried uninstalling and reinstalling the driver about 20 times with no results. I have read every forum post I could find about this issue. one says to go to the device manager under sound, video and game controllers and make sure its there, which "pioneer xdj-r1" is.
Why even have this feature if you can't use it?

I am having the exact same problem, can no sound from headphones when cue is pressed, but when i start changing to mixer i can hear the sound in the headphones.
Drivers and firmware up to date, and config is as it should....
Don't know what else to do :'(
