XDJ-1000MK2 Supported USB

Does anyone have any USB stick recommendations for the XDJ-1000MK2?  The one I have works fine with Rekordbox on the PC but gives me a 'Format USB' error on the XDJ's.

Thanks,

Sean

Thanks, no joy though i'm afraid.  I've tried 4 or 5 different format utilities so far, just doesn't like the usb.

@Sean > What make / model USB drive are you using? Is it a Corsair Survivor?

It’s this model:

Not exactly what I would consider to be a "quality" or "performance" USB drive. Can you try another USB drive?

I haven't said that it is, if you read my initial post i'm looking for suggestions on one that will definitely work so I can order one.

Yes, but before you go and get a good one, I want to make sure there's no problem with your XDJ! Do you have any other USB drive you can use to test?

I wouldn't recommend it -- the ONLY devices I can give my personal stamp of approval are the SanDisk Extreme Pro USB 3.0 / 3.1, or the Corsair Voyager GTX 3.0.

Thanks for the reply.  But why not the SanDisk Ultra Flair 3.0?  Seems to be cheaper than SanDisk Extreme Pro USB 3.0 / 3.1.  Is that for any particular reason?

I don't know much about what technical specs to look for in USB's (apart from storage space), so if you have any advice, that would be awesome!  Thanks.

You answered the question yourself: "cheaper."

Lower quality drives use lower quality / speed components. I don't know about you, but I don't have time to sit around and wait for exports to happen. Time is greater than money, so I'd rather spend a few dollars to buy a higher quality USB drive that exports in a fraction of the time, than to sit around and then worry if my drive will do what I expect it to at my gig.

Watch this video for a comparison.
