DDJ XP1 Problem

Hey guys, i just got my DDJ Xp1, and it doesnt work.
I m using 5.03 rekordbox. I plug ddj xp1 in computer, the lights go on and everything seems to be working, but the software is not reacting.
Im on mac osx 10.9.5

Do i need to install something? I tried to look for pad editor - cant find it also..

If you open the Preferences > Audio and go to the bottom, is the XP1 listed under the Control Device Information section?

The latest. I updated when i first tried using the xp1 thinking it might be the issue. The xp1 is listed in the control device section. Ive tried reloading the midi settings but that didnt work. I checked to see if it sends midi commands by using the snoize midi monitor and it does. I dont know what else i can try
