Pulselocker library taking too long to load in rekordbox

Can anybody help. When trying to log into Pulselocker in Rekordbox the library takes over 10 minutes to load. Even after the library has loaded when trying to load a track to deck it still takes over 10 minutes. This never used to be problem but it has come about over the last couple of weeks.

I have downloaded the latest copy of Rekordbox (5.0) and still I have the same problem. I have deleted everything regarding to Rekordbox on the C: and then reinstalled the latest version but still no good. I have now even gone as far to reinstall windows 10 download 5.0 again then log in and still it takes for ever. As I'm writing this it has been close to 15 minutes waiting time.

Before reinstalling windows I did have a trial copy of Serato which also has Pulselocker integration. When logging in using Serato it log me in straight away and added a track instantly so I'm completely lost on what the issue is.

I've just ordered a DDJ-RX as I currently have WeGo4 which I love when using it with Rekordbox but I'm starting to think I need to cancel my order get Serato and get the DDJ-SX2 instead and dump Rekordbox altogether. Can any help????

Due to a recent announcement by Pulselocker that they have unfortunately terminated their services, we will consider all Pulselocker-related issues concluded as well.

A future update of rekordbox will remove the Pulselocker functionality and menu items.

Thanks for your understanding.

I'll see if our Pulselocker reps have any ideas for you.

Appreciate the quick response. I've ordered the DDJ-RX which should have been delivered today but I've been told it's not coming till the 26th September for some reason  which is very annoying so if I'm going to change to Serato then I'm planning on doing this by the end of the week so hopefully I can get some answers as I want to stick with Rekordbox.

i forgot to mention in my original post that I have the top Pulselocker locker package and had probably 99% of my tracks stored offline before reinstalling windows. This did help intitially a couple of weeks ago but has now stopped altogether.

@Jason > They've asked if you can let us know how many offline tracks you have in Pulselocker, and which version of rekordbox you were running before upgrading to 5.0?

I'm not sure of the exact figure of how many tracks I had stored offline but I was using version 4.40 I think it was. I was using the most up to date version prior to 5.0 being released however prior to the reinstall of windows I had downloaded and installed 5.0 in the hope that this issue was fixed so I had the same issue on both versions.

Since re-installing Windows and Rekorbox I have 2009 Pulselocker tracks and left my laptop running over night to download the tracks from my library. Some tracks didn't download as they were no available in my country for some reason (I'm in the UK) however I believe this will be only a few tracks that have not downloaded.

Yesterday morning after the downloads were complete I restarted Rekordbox. It took 12 minutes to access the Pulselocker library then a further 5 minutes to access all the tracks. Once loaded the tracks were available within a few seconds when loading them to a deck which is a big improvement from before I reinstalled Windows.

Thanks - our team is looking into why that might have happened.

I have been having this issue forever and thought it was just how it was-sometimes takes 15 mins to load PL library.

Hey Chris, can you clarify your statements from above -- now that the tracks have downloaded, does rekordbox load much faster than prior to reinstalling Windows (and/or prior to the full download)?

Does it still take any time to connect to Pulselocker?

Hi Pulse.

It seems Jason has had to do a fresh install, where as I just bought a brand new machine, specifically for running the DDJ RZX. I have just timed the WIN10 machine against the SX2 machine running a mac mini with OSX.

Both systems loading the same fully downloaded offline PL library are as follows.

OSX when it actually looks like it is doing anything 5.20 mins

OSX PL ready to use 8.40 mins

WIN10 when it actually looks like it is doing anything 9.25 mins

WIN10 ready to use  13.55 mins

In my instance, the PL libraries are around 5000 tracks. I notice on both systems though, that one you press the PL log in button, it looks like its frozen as it does nothing for a while, until it wakes up and jumps tp 50%ish

I haven't used the sx2 with serato in a long time now, but i'm sure there was no delay with serato, you could still use the program while it was doing what it needed to do with PL running in the background, where as RBDJ + PL, I just have to wait as its not possible to do anything, except go and grab a beer.
