rekordbox 5.0 waveforms don't match up in DVS mode

When in DVS mode, the waveforms don't match up, even when they are of the same bpm and properly beatmatched. The waveforms just keep moving around, from too fast to too slow. It happens regardless of whether or not I use the jogwheels on my DDJRX or the turntables attached to it.

When I turn DVS mode off in the settings, I don't have that problem, and the waveforms are stable.

Any way to fix this bug?

The rekordbox engineers are aware of the negative feedback since the change made in 4.5 and are considering options for improvement. Thanks for your patience.

Not a bug.

In DVS mode, the waveforms speed up / slow down to match the pitch change. If they are in sync, they will meet at the middle, even if they're travelling at different speeds.

In non-DVS mode, the waveforms are stretched to match the pitch change.

Yes but they never meet in the middle, they keep changing from too fast to too slow. I understand that the way DVS-mode draws the waveforms is different, but when I'm not using my turntables Rekordbox should not register any increase or decrease in relative speed, so the waveforms should be stable.

If they don't meet in the middle, you're not beatmatched!

Yes I am, because when I toggle the DVS function off, I don't have that problem.

I think this is the worst possible change. Every other dvs software is the same wether in dvs or internal mode = If the beat is matched or synced the waveforms match.
The waveform should make it easy for djs to beat match in some way. If the monitoring is bad, if you want to protect your ears, or if you need help with beatmatching.

This way in dvs mode, dj will be even more concentrated on the laptop screen to find the matching point where two downbeats meet. Nobody will like the idea of performing in dvs mode, using turntables and playing more electronic stuff.
For Pioneer this is nice, because everyone will look for hid option.. :)

Exactly. I want to be able to seamlessly transition from using DVS to using other channels/inputs, and having two systems for displaying the waveforms makes it very impractical.

Good news! As of rekordbox 5.0.2 they introduced a new setting to get things back to the way they were in 4.4!
