I don't mean to search in my collection, what I have been doing as I have just recently bought this software is open explorer on my rekordbox software on the left to see my external hard drive,I then open a music folder like "chart 2017" or " dance remixes 2017" after I click on a folder like chart 2017 it comes up with all the music of that folder to the main center screen?.... I then want to search for a track when I get a request or even better to be able to search for a track on my external hard drive, as I said before iv come from using virtual dj for 5 years and this function is on there so is easy to do. I haven't made up a collection on the rekordbox software I am using my external hard drive not moving all of my tracks from my hard drive to the software's collection that will take me years lmfao.
If there is a way can someone please explain how to search please or even where the logo for the search magnifying glass is.

VDJ is the only DJ software that I know that can crawl/search thru an explorer without a database/collection.
Ableton Live can do this too if I remember well.
Your best bet is to drag your root folder into collection and then the search might work even from the explorer because alias/shortcuts path will be recorded into the collection/database.
This is how I'm dealing with Itunes.
