Hi Guys,
I'm in desperate need of help and advice ASAP!!
I updated to Rekord Box 5.0 and played my first DJ set with it last night. I played 4 hours and disaster struck.
When loading up and playing a pre-mix, approximately every 30 second to a minute the track would blip/jump/stutter, it wouldn't loose its point of where its playing, but would just blip/jump/stutter as if it was scratched CD or even as if the computer was catching up.
Ok, this was a massive pain and couldn't go unnoticed, I restarted the computer hoping it might of just been running slow or something although this never happened last week before the update.
After restarted, I started again and the same issue was there, then to my horror, it got worse when in the mix. The track playing to the audience would jump/blip and stutter approximately every 30 seconds again, but got worse when cue'ing up the next track to mix, then when actually mixing it would do it too! so you can imagine what that would of been like whist trying to mix, not to mention how it was sounding to the audience of the club.
It was a hard, tough, embarrassing 4 hour DJ set to which I couldn't wait to end.
I didn't have any of these issues at all with previous versions of Rekord Box, only since I updated to Rekord Box 5.
I'm DJ'ing again tonight and know all this will happen again!
Guys, any feedback, help and support right now would be a god send! I desperately need to get this issue rectified asap.
Many thanks in advance

I don't have any experience with Mac but if your using Windows I found that disabling Cortana and System File Indexing drastically improved performance of my laptop. Also ensure antivirus software is disabled. Pulse put together a Basic Computer Tips & Troubleshooting page which is very helpful. The link is below. If none of these tips help with your situation, I would advise rolling back to version 4.5 for your gig tonight until you can get this rectified.
Thanks for the help and advice, much appreciated that.
I've read the link you've pinned which has some great hints and tips and will give a few of them a go.
It's windows 10 I'm using, like I say all was perfect before the update but since the update it's a nightmare!
I don't suppose you know how to revert back to a previous version of RB do you?
I have both Rekordbox DJ 4.5 & 5.1 installed on my computer but I use an external SSD drive for my database (I highly recommend this method!!). If you go to the Rekordbox folder on the forum, there is an archive of previous RB versions. Just download and install... it will not over right existing version.
Your a legend! Thank you for your time and advice. Really appreciate that.
So what was the outcome of your gig that night?
