Try disabling DVS mode.
So until this week I only ever used Rekordbox in Export mode.
But even with the 2 player interface for auditioning mixes, the sync was absolutely fine.
I bought an XP1 with the plan of using performance mode if I have to travel light and the venue possibly doesn't have newer CDJ.
Maybe I'm missing something but as far as I can see the only option is Beat Sync (No plain old regular Sync) and the behaviour of this seems very weird indeed.
It is as though the matched track is constantly trying to keep up or slow itself down (depending on which way you're matching) as though you are riding the pitch on the jog continuously.
It's visually very distracting to witness the visual drift in the waveforms, though the beat always catches itself up as it arrives at the playhead... it does not look good.
Is this how the Sync behaviour is supposed to work in Rekordbox DJ?
5.0.1 running MacOS 10.11.6 El Capitan
I've screen recorded it so hopefully you can see what I'm talking about.

Thanks in advance.

Thanks Pulse. That’s exactly what it was.
Sorry for the delayed reponse, I’ve been away for a couple of weeks and just tested that out. 👍🏻
Perfect! There are plenty of users who have asked for it to display the same way when DVS is enabled, so there may be an option in the settings to change that later.
I’d certainly back that movement also.
If the tempo is sync’d the waveform should be also regardless of whether it’s internal or DVS.
The animation of it trying to keep up is more of a distraction and suggestive that there is a constant +‘pitch’-bend in order to keep the tracks in sync which isn’t the case.
But at least I know now.
Thanks again.
