Yuck - sorry to hear that. I'm not sure about who might be able to assist you down there, most likely a dealer. Please contact Pioneer DJ technical support and hopefully they can point you in the right direction.
Hi, I have been using the ProDJ Link from my laptop running Rekordbox (up to V5.0) to my CJD2000 decks for more than a year now with no issues whatsoever. Yesterday I added a DDJ-XP1 to the system and that worked fine as below:
1) USB cable between Laptop and DDJ-XP1
2) USB cable between Laptop and deck
N.B. No USB hub was used!!!
The above works fine, however I don't always want to take the DDJ-XP1 along to some gigs, therefore I would then just revert to my old method using the ProDJ Link setup via a network hub.
Now here's the problem:
I connected up as I used to in the past, ie. Laptop via ProLink to the network hub. First thing that I noticed was that when Rekordbox was started, the "LINK' tab that usually appears on the bottom left (RB 4.03), was not coming up. I checked all RJ45 cables, no issues there. I then reset the network adapter on the laptop (device manager), checked again and the "LINK" tab appeared. Pressed the LINK key on the decks and comms was established....all great up to this point.
I then selected a playlist, one that I use quite often, and noticed that this was a bit slow when selecting the playlist. Next I select a track and this was even slower, sometime taking up to 1 minute to load the track....once loaded I would then recall HOT CUE's A, B & C....this took at least another minute to come up. If I use a USB stick with a playlist exported from Rekordbox, the system works perfectly, just as it did in the past, so this confirms that the issue lies with the ProDJ Link.
Basically, since incorporating the DDJ-XP1 into the system, this has somehow affected the previous setup. I have unistallled RekordBox, reinstalled it, reverted to previous version, from V4.3 up to 4.5 and also went back to V5.03... as well as set the decks to default state, rolled back my installlation on my laptop to the previous restore point, and still experiencing absolutely slow response when making selections from the decks. when using the ProDJ Link.
P.S. I have also repeated installation of the latest firmware on the CDJ2000 decks...it is on V4.33.
Can anyone advise as to what may be causing the ProDJ Link method to suddenly be so slow...this has a major influence on doing gigs and with a few lined up next week, I am in a bit of a situation as I cannot dj this way.
Thanking you in advance.

The XP1 would not have affected this; chances are you didn't add the rules to the firewall when you updated rekordbox. Each version of the application is treated as a new application and should thus be configured individually after installation.
Hi, thanks for the reply. I don't think that the issue is with the firewall settings as I have updated all the rules by allowing access to both user accounts and public accounts on my laptop. I have also disabled the firewall completely, and this has not solved the issue. The crazy thing is that three days ago while playing at home, the system worked perfectly again on RB V4.3 ...then on New Years Eve it would started to drop out while in LINK mode or it would go into the "SLOW" state when I called up tracks from the decks, I then reverted to USB sticks which had all my playlists on it. So currently I am in the dark with this issue...I still do think that it may be something to do with the ProDJLink drivers that may be clashing or not being loaded. If all else fails, I will uninstall all Pioneer software on the laptop, then only install the current version and see if this does work...will be a mission backing up the full RB library and settings, but hopefully it solves the issue.
Which CDJ models were you using / which firmware version?
Hi, Thanks for the reply. I have attempted to link up to the decks by disabling the firewall....bad decision as this opened the door to a virus/hacker on my laptop which has now caused me to format the HDD and start a fresh installation of Windows. I currently have the Pioneer CDJ2000's and firmware on the decks are on version 4.33. I have been testing and trying various methods and still not getting anywhere. All Pioneer software was uninstalled and also upgraded Windows 7 to 64bit with 8Gb ram. I have now only loaded Rekordbox 4.2.5 and still experiencing the same issue, so it's pointing to an issue on the laptop as now I cannot even go back to the method I used prior to addition of the DDJ - XP1. The LAN connection is running at 100Mbps and I'm still experiencing ultra slow response on the decks. The firewall has been disabled completely, however this time round no Internet connection has been allowed to prevent hacking / Virus issues. I am trying to locate a Pioneer specialist in Johannesburg and hopefully get some results as this issue is quite frustrating especially when out at gigs. I would appreciate some feedback and if available, contacts in the Johannesburg region that would be able to assist further.
Update...decks are CDJ2000 MK1
