Seguir[SOLVED] Export Entire Music Collection to USB
With the advent of massive USB data sticks (up to 1TB now), I have just bought a new 128GB usb stick. I would like to export my entire collection to this data stick. I appreciate that I can't sort all of my music, but I would like it with me, and I really don't want to use a laptop with Rekordbox on it.
I have formatted it using FAT32 and it works fine in the CDJ-2000NXS player - no worries! The problem is getting *all* 40,000l my tracks exported to the USB data stick.
What I tried:
Adding all 40,000 tracks to a playlist and then exporting that playlist to y USB stick. Problem with this is that rekordbox seems to have a limitation that playlists can only contain 1000 tracks. :(
It's not viable to create 40x playlists to export my music.
How can I achieve this Pioneer?

@Craig > Did that answer your question?
Kind of: Yes & No.
The first time I did this, it took 12 hours to export. It was 9,000 so I expected it to take some time, but 12 hours seemed a bit extreme to me!
I added 40 tracks, selected all tracks and then right clicked, and clicked export to USB.
This time, it took about 3 hours. So it clearly does do an increment export, and does not appear to have to write all the tracks to the USB stick on every export (which would be bonkers!), but 3 hours to export 40 tracks? What is is doing?
Next, I added anorther 40 tracks and selected on those 40, and then exported those 40 to USB. Very fast, well, about 20 minutes. But anyway, quite fast compared to above.
So in summary, what it must do when you select all 9K tracks, 8,700 of which are also on your USB dive is scan the USB drive to see what's already on it and then do a incremental update (that takes hours!). But when you just select 20 tracks and click export, it must just upload those tracks without doing any scanning?
Is there a software engineer from the rekordbox team that could look into this for me? Selecting only the tracks I want exported is not realistic. I add tracks for rekordbox every day and I can't remember to keep track of what's already on my data stick.
One thing that is cool though, is that as of rekordbox 3 you can sync with multiple USB drives at the same time - now that is cool!
being the main collection is now exported maybe you can start adding new tracks to new playlists, creat a new playlist based on the date may and then right click and export just that playlist, It will export in 30 seconds being its not checking for the other 9000 tracks every time
