[CLOSED] Various loading error codes?

I have recently migrated my rekordbox collection to a new Laptop. I followed the instructions exactly as the support site indicated.

All is fine & I can access all tracks but I am now receiving various loading E8302 error codes such as:

If fast forwarding certain tracks, the track may freeze (needle doesn't move) & I get C194.

I also now have 2 tracks that simply will not play despite the analysed wave form showing on the player.  When I try loading the tracks, I get C794.

The thing is, the same tracks play fine from my USB and also from my old laptop (running Windows 7)

All firmware and drivers are the very latest (exactly the same on both laptops)

The only difference is the new laptop is running Windows 8.1.

Does anyone else have similar issues with Windows 8.1? This seems to be the only difference but I don't see why it's only specific tracks giving the C794 error code? If it was just Windows 8.1, then why are 99% of the other tracks ok?

It is very frustrating as it doesn't feel stable and each time I play, I am worried that some of the tracks may not load.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Slight update, I have tried playing around with various setting in the firewall and now instead of getting C794, I am now getting C611 on the same track?

I don't understand the relevance of the code or what is causing it?

@Dean > Have you updated to the latest firmware? I think the issue may be with Win8.1

Gavin,

Yes, I made sure that I had all the latest firmware & drivers installed. I don't think it is an issue with Windows 8.1 as the majority of the tracks play but the whole feel does feel "unstable" in my opinion and certainly not reliable.

So much so that I have now resorted back to my old Windows 7 laptop as this works without any issue at all.

It certainly is an issue.

What would be useful is to have available the description of the specific error codes (particularly the 4 digit parts, i.e C611 for example)

Dean, try installing the latest drivers for the ethernet card on the new laptop. Plus make sure that both private & public firewalls are off.

Hope that helps.

I'd point to the firewalls as well, or not having administrative rights on the program.
