Mac Crashed when using 2 players

when using 2 players i load up a track on player A set the criteria to be player A then play the trax, i then load up player B mix the the track but it doesnt detect that im now using the next player and change the related Trax.
its used to work fine before and now i have to keep changing the current trax in the criteria and then crashed. any ideas ??
