RECORDING ISSUE, NEED HELP

My levels are super low. and even still, the bass sounds way too high and overpowering, distorted to a degree. When using Serato, I have no issues at all. Even when the levels are in the yellow. I can't figure out why Rekordbox is recording so terrible. It clearly isn't the computer or Serato would have the same issues.

Same issue. Its really bad even with Trim and Master down.
Levels on controller are all green 1/3 full bar.
Levels on Rekordbox ann in green tapping light yellow every now and then.
For any reference listen to any of my mixes.

For now untill i move software im using this because im not changing my DDJ-SR anytime soon so im guessing rekordbox has to go and Serato or something else has to come back into use because i need to record good quality to send out in my name.

I'm also had this problem with my SR controller.

What worked for me is, go to audiosettings, rightdownunder in windows. Select there recordsdevices when your controller is connected. Then select your midi controller right click and selected properties.

There you can find a tab with advanced, where you can lower the number. Mine was around 52 and i lowerd it to 15.

After that try to make a new recording and the bass issues is solved...

Have fun and hopefully this works for other users working with the DDJ SR controller in combination with windows 10.

It's 2018 now, is there a fix yet? I'm having the same problem with my DDJ-SR and Relordbox. The recording is horrible, even it I dial the recording output down to the lowest setting. The base crackles like crazy.

I am wanting to upgrade to a DDJ-1000, and trying out Rekordbox to see if I can get used to the proprietary software before I make the significant investment in a new mixer. Recording mixes is what I need it for most, and so far I'm not keen to make a switch with this issue. I love the beat matching, way better than serato. Music organization seems lacking but it's Day 1 of the 39 day trial.

Please help.

I found the best way to negate this , would be to turn the trim down to approx 1/3 way up.
Up the main volume to account for the low volume due to trim.
And keep the lines in the green.

So overall. Skim off the trim. Keep levels out of orange/red. Just increase the volume on the mainboard. Only resolution i found that helped.

If this helps you just throw a Thumbs Up. Else ill try and find another solution.

unfortunately it didn't work.... i've tried every variation of adjustments to the trim on the hardware and the recording level on the software.  Trim to 1/4 and output level to 0 made it sound worse than when its solid red than 30% green, but even the best recording has more snap crackle and pops than Rice Crispies!  It's so frustrating as i'm able to mix these tracks way better on Rekordbox than on Serato... The beat matching and UI is so much better.  I could fall in love with this software, but if it can't record its absolutely useless to me.  And i'm not about to drop $1,600 on a DDJ-1000 Rekordbox mixer if I'm having this issue on my DDJ-SR.
