[Solved] rekordbox unexpected application error
0) Have you read the "READ ME FIRST" thread in its entirety AND TRIED THE SOLUTIONS THERE before posting: Yes, I swear it!
1) Operating System: OS X 10.5
2) OS Type: 64bit / 32bit
3) rekordbox version: RK can't run (instal the 4)
4) Using LINK: No
4b) LINK Connection method:
4c) Using with CDJs: No
5) Source Hard drive

5c) Does the device have multiple partitions: No
5d) If it's a flash drive, is it a U3 device: No

rekordbox DJ is only compatible with OS X versions 10.8 and newer.

Yes... I think it's a database error.... How start a all new Rekordbox ?

If you look at the read-me article where you got the info you copy/pasted, you'll find instructions on locating the database and renaming it to try again.
There is one other thing you can try, it would be to disable the advanced drawing mode.
Go to finder, select Go > Go to Folder... and copy/paste this:
~/Library/Application Support/Pioneer/rekordbox
Find the rekordbox3.settings file and open it with TextEdit.
Find this line:
<VALUE name="DisableOpenGL" val="0"/>
Change the 0 to a 1 and save the file, then launch rekordbox again.

I've read the read me article....
(I'm french, my english is awfull but.... i can read and understand this article...)
Full story in order :
-After some problem with NI product i've make a clean install of Yosemite...
-I install Rekorbox3, start without problem
-I don(t import my old database, don't start a new one
-Today, i install Rekorbox 4, no problem to start the application
-I want to import my old databse from my HDD external backup, select the database....
-Now Rekordbox crash "unexpected application error"
-Uninstall Rekordbox 4 , delete all files (database, ect...)
-Install RK4, but it crash at open again and again....
I hope you can read my "horrible" english.... My xdj-rx is fatherless

It's work !!!!
I delete all the files on ~/Library/Application Support/Pioneer/rekordbox
and now I have a all new Rekorbox
If this topic can help someone in the future....

it's not a huge problem... my playlist are in itunes.... and the macbook can work a little.... :)

Hi, I'm from Argentina, sorry for the English, I have the ddj-rzx, install rekordbox 4.2.4 and in the middle of the event playing closes the program Rekordbox (Unexpected Application Error)
I own a MacbookPro i5 x Yosemite ver. 10.10.5 4gb Ram
Eh thought to change the memory ram to 16gb but I do not know if it will be for that mistake.
I need a solution as soon as possible.

tengo el mismo problema con rekordbox 4.2.4 macos sierra tengo un controlador DDJRX despues de un rato se cae lo estoy usando con TraktorPro 2.7.3 tsi de sx2 funcionando perfecto pero no le saco todo el rendimiento al controlador pero por el momento me ha salvado debido a el error de REkordbox
