SeguirIssue reading m4A in Rekordbox 4
Hi all, just installed Rekordbox4 and surprise, m4A files are not supported anymore, meaning not read/played. I say anymore because with Rekordbox 3.3 and before, no issue. I checked the Embedded format, it's AAC coming from ITunes Platform. Is there any others DJ having the same? Thanks,

heres a pic of my iTunes info from a AAC track that I have no issue importing and playing, how does your info compare?

Hi BriChi, thanks for the answer. I have exactly the same info you have on your pic, excepted the bit rate is highter, which is not at play here. The type is AAC and it's mmbedded on a m4a. The message I have on RB4 is "Format is not taken in charge". I keep using RB3.3 then and I have no such message, cause like you, I have a lot of M4A bought on ITunes. What is really troublesome is now when I click on a M4A on RB4, I have that error, plus a little "Forbidden" mark in the CUE colomn. If I open RB3.3, I can still play these tracks, but the one that were market by RB4 are tagged now as "Forbidden" in RB3.3 even if they ara playable. Really Strange.
Will try to uplaod some pic later, because it is hard to discribe with words. Thanks again BriChi, keep you posted.
very weird, make sure the sample rate is the same too, 44.1
Yes it is, same rate. I tried to unistall reinstall, all the same, plus some display issues... I Wonder if the version 4.0 is really optimal for Win10, or if it's again Something on Win10 - which is a tricky thing itself - I will try with Pionner support. The 4.0 tags my ACC as "Unknown format" and going to the CDJ2000nxs, it does not like that very much... So I gonna stick with 3.3 until something a new version comes up... Will upload some pics as soon as my ImageSchack account is activated. Thanks BriChi for all the help and suggestions!
