CDJ 900 Nexus won't update?

I have just noticed that Pioneer have finally released a new update for the CDJ 900 Nexus, version 1.22. I am running version 1.21, and when I put in my USB to update the firmware, nothing happens. It just keeps telling me to put in the USB. I have tried 2 different USB sticks, and still nothing. Any ideas? CDJ 900 Nexus seem to be very buggy, especially when used with SDJ. Occasionally jumps either back or forth while playing a track in HID Mode, and has recently began to cause the software to force close. Any idea's on either problem guys? Thanks.

Have you made sure the USB device is formatted properly, that the update file is unzipped and located in the root directory of the drive?

Which software are you using it with as an HID controller?

have tried two USB sticks that I have used with rekordbox on my other CDJ's so I just wiped them and added the update file. Yes the file is unzipped. I will try to reformat the USB sticks, and let you know the result. Thank you.

I am using Serato DJ. I contacted Serato about the problem but I realised that is was a CDJ problem, as another person I know had the same experience with the CDJ 900 Nexus using a different computer software. I also have tried Serato DJ with my CDJ 850's and no problem has occurred. That's how I came to the conclusion that it was the CDJ 900 nexus. Everything was up to date, all firmware and software, I bought new USB connections, New powered USB Hub etc. and the problem has still continued.
You could be playing a track in Serato and all of a sudden the track would skip either forward or backwards, it could occur on either deck 1, or deck 2, it's very random.

I'm not sure about the skipping problem, to be honest, it's the first time I've heard about it, but let's try and get the firmware updated first.

The drive should be FAT32 format, with the update file in the root folder (it should not be renamed after unzipping). If you are formatting on a Mac, follow the instructions in this video, specifically around the 1:40 mark.

The USB Key was already FAT32. However I followed the videos instructions and reformatted the drive again, and it still will not update the CD Player. I am stumped.!

And you were sure to put the file(s), unzipped, into the root folder of the flash drive?

Sorry it took so long to reply. Am yes, it's the only file on the USB stick. And my Mac automatically unzips the files when they are downloaded.

@Greg > When you formatted the drive, did you ensure that it was using the Master Boot Record format? Without that, the drive will be recognized by your computer but not the CDJ.

If you downloaded the file with Safari, please try using another browser.
