Can no longer see playlist subfolders.
Hello,
I setup rekordbox and remotebox about a week ago and had everything working nicely. I setup subfolders under the 'playlist' root folder in rekord box as per below.
Playlist [ROOT]
2016 [subfolder]
05 May [actual playlist]
This worked fine but since then I've started sorting by sub-genre as well:
Playlist [ROOT]
2016 [subfolder]
05 May [subfolder]
Deep House [playlist]
Tech House [playlist]
etc...
For some reason when I am on my XDJ-R1 using remotebox (or natively without remotebox) It completely disregards the 2016>05 May and all I see are the playlist in the root directory. It is unfortunate because for each month the playlist all have the same names so I have no idea what month 'deep house' is. I even reverted back to the first example and it still would not show subfolders. Why WAS this working and now its not?

Yes. I was able to see nested folders under 'playlist' on the usb drive. I played for several weeks like that and now they just don't appear. I have a friend with the same unit that also says he can see folders in playlist view. Any way you can confirm with engineers?

It doesn't do it on mine here, I'll ask if the Playlist folder behviour has changed.

Ok I must have not been certain about seeing sub folders before. I was probably thinking of when I first got the unit and was doing drag n drop directly to the usb stick w/o rekordbox and could see the normal folder heigharchy structure. My friend also confirmed that he can only see playlist subfolders in rekordbox not remotebox on the R1. I have devised a new naming scheme for playlists as a work-around. Question though, does the XDJ-RX support playlist subfolders? I may upgrade to that in the future and it would be nice if it did.

@Mike > The engineers confirmed that there never has been a hierarchical folder view for the R1, so it must have been a mistake. I'm glad you were able to sort it out by changing how you name the playlist subfolders.
