Actual Windows laptop requirements for Rekorbox 4.2.0 + DDJ-RR ?

Hi,

I'm planning to buy a new laptop especially for Rekorbox to use my DDJ-RR. I don't need DVS nor video.

The official requirements are an Intel Core i5 or i7. That doesn't mean anything when applied to laptop. A low-end, ultra low voltage core i7 in a laptop is far less powerful than a low end desktop Core i5. I tested RekordBox on an old Core i5 i2250U with 4 Gb RAM and it's clearly not enough.

So, can you please give me specific laptop CPU's or laptop models to look for ?

I'll use Windows 10. I assume 8 GB RAM is a minimum.

to to share with you .. I had a MSI  i 7 5700 HQ 2.7ghz to 3.2 ghz 16gb ram + 1 tb hdd  running at high performance . i still had audio dropouts and glitches . i really don't know.. What rekodbox dj require. Just because of this . i bought another laptop Alienware 15 r2 and specs is  I7 6700HQ 2.6ghz to 3.5 ghz ( overclocking). 16gb ram ddr3  250ssd m.2 ans a 500 ssd storage disk . i  tested it at home and it seem to be ok , but still i cannot confirm because , the real show will be more taxing .

Many thanks for your answer. I think the hardware requirements for rekordbox DJ are just insane. This application is badly programmed.

It's a pity that the consumer must buy a $1K+ laptop even with a $250 controller.

Nevertheless, I now know that I should look for a Core I7 6700HQ with 8+GB RAM.
