I am looking into purchasing a DDJ-RZ but a bit hesitant due to my computer specs. I am meeting a bit more than minimum specs on the pioneer site but i want to ensure that im not using more than 80% of my CPU running this software.
My computer specs are as follows
Macbook Pro 15" (late 2008)
Intel Core 2 Duo @ 2.66 GHz
256Gb SSD SATA drive
8GB 1067 DDR3 Memory
NVIDIA GeForce 9600m GT 512 mb
Currently running El Capitan OSX
Anyone else running a controller and rekordbox smoothly with similar specs?

I use macbook pro. 2011. 2.3. GHz. 320 hard drive. 8 GB RAM. Seems to be fine. Knock on wood. Other then 70 %. Percent CPU usage. Which I'm praying they. Find a solution. I love REKORD BOX DJ except for high CPU which is freaking me out.
Almost forgot also using ddj sr
Damn, the last thing i need is my mac book flaking out during a gig. Are you running any other software while running Recordbox, is time machine off? wifi off ? bluetooth off ?
Hopefully someone from pioneer views this topic.
on Windows with exactly same cpu/ram/ssd specs no Problem here rock stable.
Whats your CPU usage at Daniel ?
max half of the scale under win7 (custom hardcore stripped).
I have have nothing else using cpu usage over 5 % except REKORD BOX DJ at sometimes 70% but my drop out meter on RKB is low been stable so far but i wish there was a solution to the high cpu usage. Also keep mac on stand and shut wifi, blue tooth ect optimized like i do for serato dj.And i asked APPLE for advice and they told me to ask pioneer..Hopefully next update will take care of it.
My guess is NO, the computer will not work properly with Rekordbox. I have 3 computers, and 2 computers with NVIDIA cards (different cards, one low end and one pretty high) fail miserably because of the graphics card compatibility. The other computer (low end) works much much much better. For instance, with NVIDIA chipset, I can only see the BPM numbers 30% of the time. This is not acceptable!
UPDATE, so i ended up purchasing the unit and so far Rekordbox is running fine, no crashes so far and the load meter is at about half. The only thing im worried about is my computer temperatures, they have peaked over 100 Celcius at times when im not running the fan at full speed.
Dam my drop out meter is at a quarter and my mac feels a lil warm to the touch. dont know the temp and dont even know how to check im still a digital newbie coming from vinyl and cdjs.Havent had any crashes ect knock on wood .I hope they take care of the high cpu usage and high temp soon i dont wanna have to switch to another software i love REKORD BOX DJ.
hi am using windows i3 4gb 2gb graphic using rekord box its allways showing application error if some one knows please help me out
