Wego3 pre listening problem

Hello.

I'm using DDJ-Wego3 with djay 2 on iPad and width TRAKTOR Pro 2 (using Pioneer mapping file).

Smetimes I cannot pre-listen the song in headphones, the master sound is working well, but the cue chanels - A or B (one of them) - doesn't work. More often that will be B Chanel. It happens using both - djay2 or TRAKTOR. The only way to fix it - restart the TRAKTOR program or reconnect wego3 to iPad.

Mapping problems? Or it's technical

Well, it happened again using Traktor and here what I`ve tried to do: I`ve switched audio outputs in Traktor Pro 2 to other soundcard (both - master and monitor outputs) and Wego3 worked just as a controller, not an audio interface, so I can use pre-listen buttons A and B, but the output sound was not through Wego3. And it happened again - one of the cue channels stops responding when pushing A or B button on a controller, but I`ve pushed cue button in Traktor Pro 2 using mouse and it started to work. So, I think, its the mapping, not technical problem. if it was a technical problem, then it could not be solved by using a mouse in software =)

There was several Traktor updates since Wego3 was released, but the mapping file is the same.

The system is:

Windows 7 Professional

Lenovo T430

Core i5, 8gb Ram, 240Ssd

Traktor Pro 2 upgraded to latest version, purchased from Native Intruments

No problems with an iPad.

I found the same problem, but with different equipment and the solution is to use ASIO drivers. Well, its strange for plug-and-play device, Pioneer. =)

"I've bougth the new DDJ-RB and I'm having a couple of problems.

The first one is that Rekordbox ask me to update the firmware. I download it and the install program got stucked in the 0% without update my controller.

The second one is that I can't hear the headphones CUE. I mean, I can hear the master output in my headphones but I can't hear just a single channel.

Anyone knows something about that?

Thanks you so much in advance."

I`m not using ASIO and I can`t, cause i`m using 64bit, but the solutions so far are: 1) use 32bit work-around with ASIO (questionable); 2) Use other audio-interface and wait when Pioneer engineers will do their job....3) Switch to other controller and don`t give a f@$k.

Which drivers are you using? WASAPI? If that's the case, you would only have one pair of stereo outputs, meaning there's no headphone cueing.

I'm trying to provide you with a solution until such time as 64bit drivers are released for all products, if you are unwilling to use the work-around, the functionality will be limited.

The attitude is not appreciated.

Oh, sorry if it "sounds" (or reads, actually) rude. Just tell me what i have to do and which drivers i have to use =) simple.

Minding that system is 64bit and it will not be 32bit. Or just tell that this particular controller will not work with 64bit system with Traktor pro 2 until drivers will be released (if that so - where am i wrong?), or maybe this problem is more about NI software, dont know...You`re an expert =)

Anyway, thanks for trying =)

The fact you're using a 64bit OS doesn't make a difference to the application - you can run a 32bit application on a 64bit OS, just not the reverse. You won't notice any difference using the 32bit work-around as I linked above, and that is necessary in order for you to use the ASIO drivers, which will allow you to use multiple outputs on the WeGO and thus use the headphone cueing.

ok, here`s the pics

1) Answer to the question, what drivers i`m using

2) Outputs

Question: there are similar threads on this forum about cue problems with other controllers. So, you still think, that the problem does not exist?

@Bad Robot > As I said above, your DDJ-WeGO ASIO driver isn't appearing because you're running the software in 64bit mode. Please use the aforementioned 32bit mode work-around and then you can properly assign the outputs.

Sorry, I don't understand your hesitation in running Traktor in 32bit mode.

I'm aware of the technical limitations and what that means to the average DJ's performance with the software when using 32bit vs. 64bit mode, and I can honestly say if you're using a DDJ-WeGO3 as the controller for Traktor, you will not be affected, at all, by using the software in 32bit mode.

And I don't understand why Pioneer can't make a drivers for 64bit systems. When I was buying Wego3, I was told that it will work with Traktor. But the correct and honest answer should be: "It will work, but....". And by the way - there is NOTHING about using 32bit system in product description on pioneerdj.com. its not a problem for me to use 32bit workaround, its about the controller that not working with the system I'm using now ;) and about pioneer, who cannot provide drivers and did not think that it is necessary to notice, that if you want to use wego3 with TRAKTOR, you'll have to use 32bit system.

But anyway - who cares? Pioneer already got my money....I just thought to switch to new RR or RB controller and recordbox and just wondering what surprises I will get in future.

See, that's a bit of a misunderstanding and I hope this explains it for you...

64bit operating systems can run 32bit applications and drivers; this is called "backwards compatibility." The fundamental difference between 64bit operating systems / programs and 32bit is that 64bit is able to access 16 Exabytes (16000000000GB) of memory, whereas 32bit can only allocate 4GB of memory. Read more about the differences here.

What I'm telling you is to run Traktor in 32bit mode. It will run just fine, even on your 64bit OS. As I said, I'm confident you wouldn't notice any difference in the program and performance.

Oh, and Pioneer DJ is in the process of developing 64bit drivers for their products, but until recently, it hasn't been necessary because most applications have been using 32bit architecture, which meant 32bit drivers worked just fine.

OK, I will run TRAKTOR in 32bit mode and see how it works (the prelistening problem)

Thank you.
