I'm using trial version rekordbox dj 4.2.0 with video function, the issue appears when i put some video then sometimes music started to interrupt (lags) and %CPU is going to 160 a keep over 100. 
Macbook pro i5 2,8 GHz, 8 GB, 2014 el capitan 10.11.6, DDJ-RX
also during video loading appears VTDecoder... what this?
I want to buy full version with plus pack, but right now i'm not satisfaction with video function and i don't want to use unreliable solution

I tried the video function on my macbook air and I can tell rekordbox video is very resource hungry.
I could not play a smooth music video on it. (serato does on the same mac)
I guess they need, more time to improve it?
I think in general Rekordbox is more resource hungry.
I was organizing playlists last night (all previously analyzed and no tracks playing). I left my macbook on my bed for about 20 minutes. When I came back and was concerned my sheets would catch on fire!!
Old info but gives you an idea:
VTDecoderXPCService is the sandboxing for video content in Lion. All things that are QuickTime related, audio or video, are sandboxed by this service. The problem is caused by a corrupt video file, in my case it was a m4v file.
If you don't have a dedicated video card (aka discreet) on your MacBook Pro it's going to use a LOT more CPU to do video playback.
Unless you are getting drop outs I wouldn't worry about CPU % especially if you have a 4 core machine. My 4 core i7 2012 does just fine.
If you have more than a single core CPU in your Mac it's possible to use more than 100%. Two cores both maxed out would show 200%.
You think that decreasing of video files can helps me?
I changed my laptop for better bought ddj-rx with rekordbox instead of cdj-2000 with tractor and everything i need works bad.. it's means i have to buy serato (because i need video function) and find midi maps for ddi-rx
what pioneer think about this ???
