Link shows up on Rekordbox but wont accept drag\drop windows 10

got windows 10 and Rekordbox V4, enabled all prompts within initial install re firewall (used to the updates, had it since 2013) when selecting the link icon to bring the players into view it takes longer than on my old machine (which was considerably slower) and then when dragging and dropping it does nothing as if the firewall was still on, so switched off firewall and any other malware\ virus protection programs also directly connecting my cdj to the pc and still nothing happens. when I put my old one one with the V3 it works straight away like normal.

Equipment: CDJ2000NXS x 2 DJM900NXS x 1 routed through a Netgear prosafe switching box connceted to a Laptop with 6G i7 processor
