@Amanda > The best thing to try would be connecting an external audio source (anything, a phone, iPod, CDJ...) to the line input on CH2. If you switch the input to LINE and nothing works, then it's hardware. Can you give that a try?
(Side note: it may be that the channel input selector is already on LINE, which is why it's not working.)
