CDJ 2000 NEXUS 2 UPDATES?

Hello just wondering if the Pioneer engineers are still working on the beat jump feature to extend to 8/16/32 on the cdj 2000 nxs2. I know Pulse said awhile back that they where but nothing yet for awhile now. Also was there any feedback from the engineers to allow slicer function while in loop mode, as well as allowing the slip mode to work when in a loop.

Last thing, I know that rekordbox allows to change the cdj hot cues from play/pause to play/stutter and vise versa but are you able to change these options on the cdj itself.

The slip mode in a loop will likely not happen due to the complexity of the current slip mode and that kind of change being a major difference in function vs. current operation.

@Shaun > The feature he's referring to is the hot cue GATE mode (in the preferences of rekordbox), you can set it so it follows the function of the player as to whether it continues or stops after you release the hot cue button.

Unfortunately I don't know if this is something they are planning on incorporating into the hardware itself because no previous model has had this functionality. I hope they do, it's more in line with how software works and it makes sense.

@Pulse could you follow up and let us know if the engineers are even going to add the additional beat jump options? There are quite a few djs looking and waiting for this to be implemented and if the engineers are not even going to do so it would be nice to know instead of waiting. Also the search feature on the cdjs needs to be more flexible. I know other djs have complained about this as well and have there gripes about it as well.

I don't have any information on whether or not the beat jump will be changed, sorry.

What is it you need the search to do that it doesn't currently? Having specific information as a request helps the engineers.

A simple hold of the back button in the touch screen search field to clear out the previous search would help tremendously. Just how the 4 beat hardware button works when you press the button you get a 4 beat loop and when you hold it down you get a 8 beat. Same concept when holding the back button in the touch screen search field it clears out the search field and when just pressing it, it would delete the previous letter.

yup, the search should actually clear once the searched track is played for more then a minute or so. I put in a inquiry that the search is actually freezing my decks up because of this, Pulse mentioned it should be fixed hopefully in the next update. we need an easier way to clear a previous search
