Is this possible...incorporate SB2 into DVS set up?

I can't find anything online to see if it is, and I'm not going to be home for a while to test it myself (I work away in Saudi Arabia), but I was hoping one of you guys might know, to save me hours of wasted effort and frustration if it's not.

I'm on windows 10 and use Serato DJ
At home I've got a RANE SL2 and a Novation Nocturn
Here I've got a DDJ SB2

Last time I was home, I really missed having the Browse knob on the SB2, because the centre knob on the Nocturn isn't mappable.

So it's had me thinking and looking into for a while, about having the SB2 act like a DDJ-SP1 in my DVS set up at home.

I know I can't use the SB2 as a 2nd audio interface on Windows to control decks 3 and 4 (which is a shame because that would have been a "nice to have" feature in my home setup) but can it be used purely as a mappable midi interface while the Rane SL2 is plugged in?

If I could use the SB2 in Rekordbox as an alternative to buying an SP1 then I'd start moving to Rekordbox now over here on the SB2 and will buy the DVS licence straight away to set up when I get home.

In the meantime I wouldn't even spend time downloading and playing with the demo, if I know the end result I'm wanting isn't possible.

I also don't want to buy other hardware, when I've physically got enough knobs and buttons as it is, I just want the ones I've got to work in the way I want :)
