Dear DJ's and Pioneer.
I used to make al lot of use of the beatmascher2 effect in Traktor, this effect creates a 4 beat loop beat gridded sync'd and quantized worked perfect even if you change the size of the loop to 1/1 1/2 1/4 1/8 and so on (you can not enlarge the loop) if I change these values completely out of beat turning the knob like an idiot it always stays perfect in sync beat gridded and stay's matched witch the beat count.
I think, and maybe I'm wrong but this same effect in Rekordbox DJ is the Roll effect, this creates a loop too and you can also change the size of the loop, but engaging this effect is not quantized, changing the size is not quantized as well and it's synced strangely by breaking off the loop to keep it "beat synced" in my opinion this effect is hardly usable, unless you press the buttons to create the ROLL, change the size etc. at exactly the right moment otherwise your screwed.
Is this me having the wrong assumption or is this a software issue.
I would like to hear some opinions from other Rekordbox DJ users, because I'm really missing this effect.

The Roll effect is essentially a loop that, when engaged by pressing a pad, keeps the track playing in the background. When the pad is released, playback will continue as if the effect were never applied.
I think you might find the Slicer effect more to your liking. Give it a shot!

You are absolutely right, I'm asking something about a Record box DJ witch is a Windows / Mac based peace of software. And I'm asking something about an effect that is available in Record box DJ, and if I'm making the right assumptions about what this effect should exactly do.
Your reply is 100% on topic because you describe a completely different device that I don't even own and is a standalone sampler that does not need Record box DJ to function. You don't even mention anything that indicates you actually read my question about the Roll effect in Rekordbox DJ.
Sins the topic is Record box And your reply is not, its 100% on topic, sorry for my misunderstanding.
