Some tracks do drift during playback, how much drifting is happening and if you are adjusting the platters to keep the tracks in sync this is normal. Have you tried using SYNC to see if the tracks stay the same?
Hello,
On April bought the new DDJ RR from Pioneer, but I've found something weird while mixing.
Mixing with rekordbox and playing two tracks I do have to keep making corrections on the speed of tracks.( this means, non stop , same tempo, etc..)
This is happening on new hardwarde, new software and on bought tracks from internet official portals.
Is that something that is happening regulary for all the users of DDJ RR ?
It doesn't make any sense for me, would like to have any explanation.
Thanks in advance,
Regards.

It's happening to me aswell, driving me completely mad ,I know there is something wrong as my Sr never did this,
Sync will still drift unless beat grids are adjusted as rekord box is poor at analysing tracks ,apart from that the issue I'm having is when sync is turned off and beat matching cdj1000 style and the bpm is set exactly the same on both decks (even though I do know it's not always right and still needs tweeking the odd point one or two )it never stays matched and I know how to beat match ,the tempo starts to adjust itself sometimes aswell when sync is off? What's all that about.the tracks I'm using are clean with no offset tempo changes.I honestly feel like lobbing it out the window,it's like trying to match on 1210s again but this time with absolute no success due to randomness within the software, is it some sort of confusion within the software ? Is something turned on that I don't know about causing the software to be confused? I also recorded a video earlier of a track playing with the channel fader fully down!!
This is also happening to me. Kept changing and it was hard to set pitch slide to get it exact. It was definitely just jumping up & down 1bpm
Something needs doing about this ASAP I am fuming now, been mixing nrg, tracks I have been using for the past 2 year ,solid and stable throughout and yet again constant bpm movement ,perfectly matched and slipping out, like the software hasn't a clue and it's drunk, why bring out controllers people are spending hundred's on, even over 1k that don't work, the bottom line is it doesn't work ,its an absolute massive dissapointment for me is this ,the hype over rekordbox made me move from serato and now I'm stuck with this ,the shop isn't going to let me exchange now it's been too long,I have no idea how people are using this software live,I'm starting to think that every track needs manually analysing which is complete bs.I so wish I had bought a second hand sx for the price I paid for this rr.constantly battling with it to do a mix I could do on a 100 pound controller 2 year ago.
Had this problem last night again! I'm trying to get my rr and rekordbox working smoothly. We are a bunch of working djs who went out and bought this after reading your hype, please get solutions to this asap. I have less than 20 days to return this controller. I'd like to keep it if it works as advertised... Otherwise it's back to Sr and serato
Hello,
The Drift persists whenever you SYNC, anyways, its not matching properly.
The error continues,
I've discovered that whenever u SYNC, on two tracks that are having this problem, somehow REKORDBOX applys an automatic increase/decrease of bpm.
It's not too much, like +/- 0,1. But i've been testing live this error and it keeps increasing , decreasing ( Starting at 125 bpm, gets automatically fixed to 125.1 on both tracks, and then 125.2... or 124.9.. 124.8 ..., etc)
Then when u try to fix this to 125 again, its a pain in the ass.
Moderators, any updates on this?
Thanks,
Regards.
I own a DDJ-RR and learned beatmatching on it. It gave me a pretty hard time because of the short tempo fader but I guess it's better to learn the hard way.
My issue is about the software that picks up the tempo inaccurately. Basically you can not make a tight beatmatch because the software skips roughly 0.05 bpm. I thought this is because of the short tempo fader but I have experienced this issue with many other rekordbox controllers (RX and even the RZ!!) and after trying serato controllers and a traktor s4, I can say that these controllers are super accurate.
My workaround was to use the jogs to maintain the inaccurate bpm. My problem with the jogs is that I can not set their sensitivity, it feels like I have to turn them a lot to adjust 2 tracks - on CDJs it is totally different, I move them a little bit and the beat is back in place.
My questions are: Is is possible to set the accuracy of the tempo faders and the jog wheels? If not, is Pioneer going to work on an update that will solve this? I know the software is pretty new still, but I really think these are KEY FEATURES for a DJ... I can always use sync but that is not fun for me at all, I want to learn and rely on my ears more, and I need accurate control for this, and a 700 euro product should definitely provide me this I think.
Cheers,
Zentie
