DDJ RB - Controller not working

Hi there,

I have installed Rekordbox and the audio drivers for my new DDJ-RB and although I've followed all the troubleshooting tips can't get the controller to work with the software?

The controller is definitely being recognized by my Mac as it appears on the USB port list but I'm stuck there.....any other suggestions?

Hi Dan Brero Davis,

You need to reload Audio MIDI settings.
(1)Connect DDJ-RB to your computer and turned it power on.
(2)Open [Applications] folder, [Utilities] folder and [Audio MIDI Setup.app].
(3)Open [Audio Devices] window. Confirm that [Audio MIDI Setup] is displayed on Menu bar.
Click [Window] and choose [Show MIDI Studio] or [Show MIDI Window]. (The displayed name depends on OS version.)
(4)[MIDI Studio] window opens up, click [DDJ-RB] icon. The icon turns to blue color, click [Remove Device].
"DDJ-RB" icon disappears and comes back again.
(5)Close [Audio MIDI Setup] and turn DDJ-RB power off.
(6)Turn DDJ-RB power on and run DJ Application.

Just to add to this....when I go to MIDI studio the DDJ- RB doesn't appear....only USB Midi Device is shown

same problem. "usb midi device" only.

I also have the same problem "usb midi device" only. Same in midi mapping settings in Rekordbox. I tried installing it on my friends computer and it worked perfect, but on my computer I tried installing 10 times with different versions of Rekordbox, DDJ-RB driver and macOS, but still the same problem. Now I am on macOS 10.12, Rekordbox 5.1.1, driver 2.0, firmware 1.0.3 but nothing works.

Even when I import the midi mapping as csv they are not correct, only a few installs correctly.
