Pitch fader resolution & sync issues when playing with a "band" at fixed tempo

I've got these 2 annoying sync issues:

1 - Sometimes I play a track at 120 and then mix in a new track (with sync) and after I stop the first track and the second becomes the master track, it jumps to 119.9 without me touching anything like the pitch fader or anything else, and then I have to move my pitch fader and correct the tempo, which takes a lot of time and effort and also sucks because: (see no. 2 below)

2 - I am playing music together with a friend (who uses Ableton Live) and we sync together to play the whole set at 120 for instance. I find that I constantly have to nudge my tracks to keep in sync with him, because my tracks seem to not always play at 120.00 BPM?! How does the pitch fader actually works in Rekordbox? If the tempo says 120.0 is it actually 120.000 or can it also be 120.04?

Are you using any external hardware controller with rekordbox?

OK. I am now on the latest Rekordbox version and on a different computer (Mac this time, the other one was a Windows PC) and not sure about the #1 issue, but the #2 issue is still there. My tempo says 120, my friend's Ableton live says 120, and I have to constantly nudge my tracks to keep playing in sync. They always run a little faster, and I always have to nudge them back (slow them down). What's going on?

You either analysed your tracks in the wrong mode (dynamic for a constant-tempo / electronic beat track, or normal for a track with a varying tempo - ie, a live drummer), and thus the grid is slightly out, or his tracks are.

I've run known-good tracks against a metronome app and even at varying pitch percentages away from the track's original tempo, with and without master tempo engaged, I did not find any wander, regardless of the hardware used to control it.

You mean ALL my beatgrids are off in the same direction? Highly unlikely... Most of them are downloaded MP3's from Beatport (so no vinyl rips) and they are all fixed (and flat) BPM. I have no idea what mode I have analyzed my tracks in, though (how do I figure that out?)

Also, my friend's tracks are actually just MIDI loops so I don't think there's anything wrong at his end (unless something specific to his version of Ableton Live - I'll try to get him to update it and check again).

Oh, right. The mode is normal. I haven't changed the default.

I'll get one song and carefully check the beatgrid and then try to beatmatch it with Ableton Live (maybe use the latest version) and post back if I find it still doesn't work properly.

Thanks!
