Audio and waveform are stuttering and cracking with Rekordbox 4.2.2.
Hi guys
I'm running Rekordbox 4.2.2 and the DDJ-RB driver for Windows on my laptop . The first day eveything went well but the second day when i started playing tracks the audio and the waveform started stuttering and cracking . At a certain point the waveform even disappeared while still hearing the stuttering audio .
It even forced my laptop to reboot saying there was a problem with the driverfile . Here is what i've tried so far :
- un- and reinstalled Rekordbox (the latest version 4.2.2. )
- un- and reinstalled the driver for the DDJ-RB controller
- removed the tracks , then imported and analyzed them again .
- used music format is mp3 .
- rebooted laptop .
- did the latest firmware update for the DDJ-RB controller .
Nothing of the above has helped , also checked the forums for a solution but didnt find anything there either .
My laptop specs : Processor : AMD E1-2500 APU . Speed : 1.40 GHz . Memory : 4 GB RAM
I know the specs are not the same as required but why did everything worked perfectly the first day then ???
If i buy a new laptop with the required specs do I have the guarantee that everything will work or is there more to it ? ( as I've also read that other people experienced similar problems ) . And can I use the licence key to install Rekordbox on a new laptop ?

Check the cpu meter at the top right to see if it is full and peaking ,this causes the stuttering and it could be any sort of program also running in the background eating ram like an antivirus,I have also heard amd processors don't work well with dj software, some sort of sound issues,I know serato don't recommend it,also change the waveform speed to medium in the settings,think it's in view settings and adjust the latency aswell ,them specs are not great tho tbh for this software,rekordbox absolutely scoffs cpu usage and ram,I bought a new laptop that goes to 2.4ghz quadcore and has 8 gig of ram and it struggles when using lots of effects at the same time,it's unrealistic requirements from pioneer ,they should optimise the software more,how can they sell a budget controller like the rb that requires a 500 pound plus i5 laptop,my cpu meter sits below half then with heavy effects usage goes to 3 quarters and fails to go back to below half again.
