Has anyone else has this problem at all? I have recently spent a long time properly sorting my rekord box library, and mid having a mix, A fair few of the tracks skipped.
Listening back through on RB some of the tracks seem to have a weird half beat skip/loop which then pushes the whole track out.
Going through, deleting the track and then re-importing it again, fixes the problem. But I wondered if anyone knows why this could be happening? I don't want to have to go through 300 odd tracks to find each potential skip to fix it.
Thanks

Yep.
This happened to me with 3 tracks mid-set last night whilst playing out in a club.
Not good!
They were tracks that had previously been analysed, beat grids set and had played fine previously...
I was using Rekordbox on a macbook pro, with 2xCDJ2000Nexus connected directly to the laptop via USB.
Try reanalyzing the track and see if this helps.
That doesn't solve the problem of it audibly jumping half a beat mid gig.
Up until the point of the problem, the track is analysed and the beat grid set. Mid playback it audibly jumps half a beat. One of those moments when everybody on the dance floor is wrong footed.
I could reanalyse after that happens, but if that happens mid mix (as happened on Saturday night) it's already too late - the mix is clumsy amd I either have to drop one track out and start again, or slam the new track in.
Re-analysing doesn't help. It seems to add this loop within the original waveform import, so rescanning just scans the same waveform in the RB database and has the same problem. You have to delete the file out of RB, then re-add it again.
It's a right pain in the ass! And also means I have to check the beat grid of all my tracks at beginning, middle, and end to make sure it's fine. It's taken me forever :(
THIS HAS TO BE LOOKED AT! IT'S RIDICULOUS!
I've just imported 27 tracks I've just bought and I've had to pull out and reimport 7 of them as the waveform was skipping! After a reimport it was fine, but I am having to check all of these tracks all the way though, it's ridiculous!
How can I report this as a bug to Pioneer?
Ant and Samuel,
I apologize for this huge inconvenience. I am going to create a support ticket for this issue which will go directly to the engineering team but in order for them to best assist you, we need to provide them with as many details as possible.
You may be asked to provide further details and information moving forward. Thanks in advance for you assistance in solving this issue.
Thanks Mark
Macbook Pro 2011 - OS X El Capitan v 10.11.6
Rekordbox 4.2.1
320kbps MP3's
Randomly on a whole host of files. Originals, free downloads/VIPs and Edits I make. For the edits I use Audacity to convert a wav to mp3 before importing if that helps.
I don't think it's a problem with the files, as if it was the problem would persist and wouldn't be fixed with an re-import.
I also tried importing a track on it's own, and luckily it happened then too, so it's not a bulk import problem either.
Rekordbox is broken.
I am now noticing a sound latency vs the waveform, so for example a drop will start playing 2 or 3 beats before the waveform shows the drop happening. I have videos if you need them.
This is also adding the problem of skipping, a track is in beat, latency happens, the end is out, go back to the beginning, the beginning is now out, when it was fine and nothing on the waveform has been changed manually.
I am also in the same boat with the same problem...Sam has you heard anything as my ticket has been supported by the community not Pioneer...
I stopped the track that was playing and the track I was cueing stopped skipping.
i then started the track again , tried to que the same track and it started skipping again at
the start.
so this is for sure a software issue when one is being played and one is being cued
come on pioneer we need answers quickly because I as well as others have bought
controllers to take out to gigs to save taking nexus 2's out which proves how much we all
spend on your products.
@Paul > Does this happen with all tracks or just with certain tracks?
Mark, I have noticed this happen when you have a track analysed and then you play around with the album art. The analysis will be fine, but then it will move out.
(I was trying to find ways to break it)
Thanks for the information. I will add that to the ticket.
Hello I am still dealing with this issue. Has anyone found a work around this problem? I am on M2 MacBook Pro with Ventura 13.2.1 and rekordbox 6.6.10.
In fact I have been dealing with this for a few years, in fact since a 2016 intel MacBook Pro on Mojave. I was hoping the problem would disappear once all my software would be updated once I moved onto a brand new M2.
It still happens when a track is analyzed but you change the album artwork, yes. This is the only situation I have found the issue occurring in.
If you have changed the artwork while the track is loaded, just load it again and it fixes itself.
It would seem Marks' "ticket" has been ignored for 7 years.
