DDJ-RX - no beat effects on analog inputs

Just to let anyone know who is thinking of buy a DDJ-RX.

I think it's a great bit of kit but you should know that FX1 and FX2 cannot be assigned to analog inputs such as turntables and microphone.

Also, color fx are limited to those in the default setting. In Rekordbox you can change which color fx are applied when the different color fx buttons are illuminated. But these only apply to the Rekordbox decks. If you have an analog input selected on a channel on the DDJ-RX, only the default color fx are available.

So for example you cannot put dub echo color fx on the microphone, or any reverb or delay from fx1 or fx2.

This is with the latest firmware installed. This shortcoming is not described anywhere in the manual nor did I find it in any of the reviews I read or videos I watched. If you read the section on analog inputs, fx are not mentioned, implying they cannot be used.

This limits the power of the machine somewhat. I guess its because the machine works as a standalone mixer, and any customisation via Rekordbox require a laptop present.
